This is just a reminder that family/staff interviews are set for the evening of Thursday November 23 and the morning of Friday November 24, 2017. We are pleased to announce that we appear ready to begin using an online process through Edsby to manage our interview scheduling this year.
Edsby is an intuitive, cloud-based platform that will allow families to easily reserve times to meet with their child’s teachers. YRDSB in partnership with Edsby have created a secure platform that protects the privacy of information for our YRDSB families.
So far we have had 206 legal parents/guardians register for the system in just over under week. 291 legal parent/guardians have yet to register. We are hoping to have everyone register this school year. Attached is a Family Communication- Welcome to Edsby quick reference tool if you are having difficulty registering.
Families will need to create an Edsby account to access the online appointment scheduler for their child’s teachers for interviews. Only families who create an Edsby account prior to the schedule being opened November 7th will have access. For more information on EDSBY please see http://www.edsby.com/help/parents/.
You will receive an email from York Region District School Board by October 25, 2017 with instructions on how to create an Edsby account. If you do not see the email, please check your junk mail folder to ensure you do not miss this opportunity. This e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address we have on file for legal parents and guardians. If this information has changed, please let our office know.
If you have any questions about this process, please contact our main office.
Up to Nov 6 Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s) to create Edsby accounts
Nov 7 The online scheduler opens by 9 a.m. for booking, an invitation to book appointments will be sent to your Edsby inbox with a notification to your email.
By November 13th Mount Albert P.S will also open up their schedule for families. We are coordinating our schedules to help with overall scheduling (i.e if you have children at both schools, you will have the time for your SK-3 child prior to Mount Albert P.S opening up their schedule).
Nov 22 Progress report cards sent home
Please note year one FDK classes will have a different process for interviews/classroom observations that will be communicated by the FDK team.
