April 2nd is the United Nations sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day and organizations in the international autism community support families, schools, communities along with governmental and professional organization in bringing to light the challenges and triumphs of people on the autism spectrum.
At Robert Munsch P.S. we will be shining a light on autism as part of Autism Ontario’s Raise the Flag campaign, where our students will show their support through the simple act of dressing in blue on Thursday, April 2nd. Families who choose may also donate $2 for students to receive a puzzle piece to build class flags around our school. Our emphasis is talking with students about being a “good friend” and that all of us learn differently.

Please help us shine a light on autism by encouraging your children to wear blue to school to show their support!
