Continuing to build our routines

Thank you again for your support as we enter our second week of school. As we continue to build on our routines for school, we wanted to provide a few updates:

– Dogs on school property. We have noticed a few families are bringing dogs on to the school grounds. We do have students and staff who are allergic to animals. Given possible allergies and safety concerns we ask that you not bring dogs onto our property.

– Kiss and Ride – Thank you for your continued support of our Kiss and Ride. A reminder that if you drive your child to school and want to walk them to their entry area, please park in our parking lot. The Kiss and Ride is for drop off only. This is an important routine we want to establish knowing that once the winter weather arrives, we can anticipate an increase in traffic in our parking lot.

– Bike Racks. I have been in contact with our contractor and we anticipate that our bike racks will be installed shortly. They will be located at the back of our playground area. Students will be able to lock their bikes up there once it is installed.

– Outdoor play equipment. We have now purchased outdoor play equipment for students to use at recess time. We encourage students to use these materials for their recesses and enjoyment.

  1. I have heard that the fence will be up for the school year. Is there anyway it can be pushed back a little bit for safe walking to the park pathway? The kids are crossing two lanes of traffic and one corner vehicles can not see as they come around the corner. Thanks.
